|Assistant professor Miljan Ćeranić is consultant colorectal surgeon, currently employed at IV department of the Clinic for digestive diseases at the University of Belgrade in Serbia.|
He finished courses at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisabon, clinic ‘Gemelli’ in Rome, hospital ‘Beaujon’ in Paris, Guastave Roussy in Paris, Clinical center ‘Rijeka’. His field of interest is surgery of colorectal carcinoma, inflamatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, benign disease of colon and rectum (fistulae, fissures, haemorrhoids and pilonidal cysts).
He is particularly interested in and focuses on use of advanced minimally invasive techniques in surgery, such as laparoscopy. Besides the diploma which was awarded to him after passing the exam of LAPSERB project, in Champalimaud Foundation in Lisabon he passed a test for internationally certified instructor in the field of minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
He is also student’s mentor at the University of Belgrade.
